Wherever I Lay My Bone

Approximately 6’ tall, three shovels attached by the back, positioned around a plaster mold of Fearce’s face. The sculpture takes its title from the lyrical traditions of blues in the Black American South and functions as a totem and signifier of Black male bravado, performance, and sexuality.
