Im Building Me A Home

I'm Building Me A Home is  a 16 mm short film that follows the morning routine of Fearce’s two sisters and grandmother before church. The sound is appropriated from Building Me A Home a negro spirtual; mixed into “the HA” a ballroom staple track. The film juxtaposes the church and ballroom as spaces that both exalt the  Black ecstatic experience. Fearce confronts the intersections of his identity as a brother, grandson, and butchqueen.
